Registration

After having submitted an application to their IARU home university, students selected for GSP by UC Berkeley will be contacted by Berkeley Summer Sessions and provided with instructions on how to register for GSP.

Visa

Students studying at UC Berkeley for GSP may require a student visa. For details about visa requirements and application, consult the visa information from Berkeley Summer Sessions.

Housing

GSP students at UC Berkeley will be housed in the International House and provided a meal plan.

Once accepted to GSP, Berkeley Summer Sessions will notify students with housing information and must complete a housing application along with advance payment. IARU universities who wish to submit payment on behalf of their students must contact the Summer Sessions Office to make arrangements.

Insurance

GSP students should obtain health insurance coverage prior to coming to Berkeley. UC Berkeley offers an international travel plan to international students who did not purchase insurance prior to travel to the United States to attend Berkeley Summer Sessions. Information about the travel plan is available from University Health Services.
